J&K govt orders probe into pilferage of liquor during lockdown

Baramulla: Two weeks after attaching its Medical Superintendent, the government on Thursday ordered an inquiry into the malfunctioning in Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Director (Coordination) new Government Medical Colleges of J&K as Inquiry Officer to enquire into the matter regarding malfunctioning in Government Medical College, Baramulla,” reads an order issued by Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education department vide  Government Order No.864-JK (HME) of 2022, dated: 01 -12- 2022

The order further reads that the Inquiry Officer shall submit the report within a period of three weeks from the date of issuance of this Government order.

The GMC Baramulla has been in news because of the deteriorating healthcare services and administrative failures due to which patients suffer badly here.
