Units of NCC Group Sgr organize blood donation camps across Valley

Srinagar: To commemorate the 75th year of raising of NCC in India, a large number of activities are being undertaken by NCC pan India. 

“400 Senior division NCC cadets both boys and girls from various units of NCC Group Srinagar voluntarily participated in several blood donation camps today in six districts of the Valley,” said PRO (Defence) Srinagar.

“3 J&K Bn NCC Baramulla organised a blood donation camp each at GHSS Uri and GDC Baramulla wherein a total of 100 cadets donated blood. 80 girl cadets of 1 J&K Girls Bn donated blood at GDC Ganderbal, GDCW Anantnag, and GDC Kulgam, in addition, girl cadets of GCW Nawakadal Srinagar also staged a street play to motivate more and more youth to participate in the selfless act of blood donation which can be life-saving for the needy,” the PRO said.

“144 cadets of 1 J&K Bn NCC donated blood at similar camps organised at Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian, Ganderbal, and Kulgam. 75 Naval wing cadets of 1 J&K Naval Unit donated blood at SP college Srinagar and GCW Gandhinagar Jammu. The program was a huge success and cadets felt elated to participate in this noble program,” he said.
