Srinagar: Himalayan Education Mission School Rajouri J&K, the only school from UT of Jammu and Kashmir was given the National Award ‘Swach Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021-22’ in the category of Behavioural Change and Capacity Building by the Ministry of Education, Dept of School Education Govt. Of India.
The award was conferred by the Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Dr Subhas Sarkar who was also the chief guest of the occasion in presence of MoS, Ministry of Education Dr Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh and Umpteen dignitaries and senior officers from Dept of School Education, Union Ministry of Education in addition to heads of the Depts and representatives from different States and UTs of India, in a grand ceremony at Akashvani Rang Bhavan, All India Radio, Sansad Marg, Delhi today on of Nov 19, 2022.
The award was received by Mohd Farooq Muztar along with a student Swatchta Monitor on behalf of the Himalayan Education Mission. The school was earlier also awarded Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2022, UT level Award by Manoj Sinha Lt Governor J&K.
