5 drug peddlers booked under PIT NDPS in Kulgam: Police

Kulgam: Police in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district have booked five notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS act and have been lodged in Baderwah and Rajouri district jails.

In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said that in its continuous offensive against drug peddling and its propagators, to eradicate the menace of drugs completely from the society, 05 chronic offenders and notorious drug Peddlers* namely have been booked under PIT NDPS.

Those who have been booked include Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh of DH Pora, Tariq Ahmad Lone of Yaripora, Sajad Ahmad Baghat of Yaripora, Barkatullah Mir of Kulgam and Aijaz Ahmad Ganie of Gadihama.

The statement reads that Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh, Tariq Ahmad Lone and Sajad Ahmad Baghat have been lodged in district jail Baderwah and Barkatullah Mir and Aijaz Ahmad Ganie have been lodged in district jail Rajouri—(KNO)
