Pace up e-Shram registration of workers, set up registration facilities at working places: Div Com to officers

SRINAGAR: Pace up e-Shram registration of workers, set up registration facilities at working places directed Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole to officers today during a meeting regarding registration of labourers under e-Shram scheme.

The meeting was attended by Director FCS&CA Kashmir, Director Industries and Commerce Kashmir, Director Rural Development Department Kashmir, Deputy Labour Commissioner, GM SICOP and officers of PWD.

While reviewing the progress achieved regarding registration of workers, Div Com directed all the officers to depute officials with logistic support at specific places of work to achieve the target set by the government.

He directed Director FCS&CA to register Brick Kiln workers while availing the assistance of Additional Deputy Commissioners in districts particularly in Budgam, Anantnag, Pulwama and Kulgam.

Besides, he directed PWD to create facilities at major construction sites to register construction workers under e-Shram scheme.

Div Com also asked Director I&C and GM SICOP to register labourers working in Industrial Estates and other sporadic Industrial units by creating their own service facility.

He underlined the need to create an IEC campaign by the Labour department to educate and motivate left-out workers so that the benefits will be provided to them directly.

He also instructed the Horticulture Department to include labourers working in orchards.

Div Com directed all the officers to get the set targets within a week so e-Shram cards will be provided to all.
