Distribution of firewood to registered agencies begins at P. C. Depot

SRINAGAR: The Forest Department today informed all the registered Agencies/Mosques of Srinagar City to approach the Range Officer, Timber Transport Range, P.C.Depot, Qamerwari from 01st of November, 2022 with their indent through the proper channel for issuance of yearly firewood quota.

It was also informed that the distribution of Firewood shall be started from 5th November 2022

As per the targets, about 40000 Qtl of firewood have been dumped at P.C.Depot for this purpose. Urban Forestry Division, Srinagar is committed to accelerating the process of distribution so that the supply of firewood to registered agencies and mosques of Srinagar is completed well in time particularly to tide over harsh winter (Chillai Kalaan).
