The objective of organizing the camp was to raise awareness among the participants regarding the benefits of the Golden Card, an e-card that needs to be shown at the empanelled hospitals to avail of cashless treatment under AB PMJAY.

Secretary, while elaborately explaining the broad contours of the scheme, exhorted the people to optimally utilize this golden card which enables them to get cashless treatment and hospitalization in empanelled public and private hospitals.

He asked the officers to ensure cent percent saturation of Golden Cards under AB-PMJAY so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of this vital facility being extended by the government.

Secretary exhorted the general public to avail the benefits of Golden Cards and other health-related schemes. He asserted that the administration is committed to providing every basic health facility to the people at their doorsteps.

He highlighted the need for making people aware of this facility and urged students to act as ambassadors in this endeavour.

Bhupinder Kumar directed all the officers and others concerned to work with added zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets under different schemes of the health department.

Deputy Commissioner said that the purpose of the camp was to speed up the registration process under the said scheme besides mobilizing the left-out population of the district so that they are entitled to the benefits of the Golden Card.
