DDC Chairperson Gbl, DC inspect development works in block Lar

GANDERBAL: District Development council Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today took an extensive tour of the district and inspected progress on various ongoing developmental works.

During the tour, the DDC Chairperson and DC visited Nagpaw canal, Baroosa bridge, Boys Higher Secondary School Lar, under construction water supply scheme Goriwan Lar, Tourist Facilitation centre Lar, Ayush Centre Lar.

While visiting Nagpaw canal, the duo inspected the progress on dredging and desilting of the canal and gave necessary instructions to the concerned for completing dredging on time.

President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Tehsildar Ganderbal, and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

During the visit to BHSS Lar, they inspected the functioning of the school and also visited the site for the construction of the Kindergarten and directed the concerned officials to prepare a landscape map containing all components like ground, fencing, and provisions for face lifting.

On the occasion, the DC asked the tehsildar Lar to demarcate the available land so that sufficient land is made available for the construction of the Kindergarten and ground.

During the visit to the under-construction water supply scheme Goriwan Lar, Tourist Facilitation centre Lar and Ayush Centre Lar, the DC inspected the progress of work and gave necessary instructions to the concerned for the timely completion of these projects.

Later, both Nuzhat Ishfaq and Shyambir laid the foundation stone of the Health and Wellness Center at Baroosa which is being approved at the cost of Rs 65.55 lakh, in presence of Executive Engineer R&B and local PRI members.
