Earlier, the Joint Director of SCERT, Mohammad Sharif Dehdar, welcomed the participants. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of participation among the attendees.

Another event at the SCERT office complex featured a thorough presentation on the fundamentals of official communication from former Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Masood Samoon, who has also held the position of Director School Education Kashmir.

Samoon provided a bare-bones explanation of the components of office communication with the use of a PowerPoint presentation. He held a question-and-answer session to round up the presentation, and the SCERT staff participated enthusiastically.

Pertinently, the SCERT has been holding a series of talks to promote teacher professional development among the employees.

In a third event, some 155 teachers, who have completed a six-week course through a blended mode of online and offline classroom training entitled “Constructive Teaching & Learning with Technology” were felicitated at an impressive function at the SCERT auditorium.

The program was hosted by SCERT in partnership with UNICEF and the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) Mumbai’s Centre for Excellence in Teacher Education. The teachers, after having received the training, will now be called Master Trainers.

Joint Director, SCERT, Jammu, Hem Raj Pakhroo, Associate Professor, CETE-TISS, Dr. Amina Charania, Education Specialist, UNICEF, Danish Aziz, and a host of other academic officials attended the event. The participants were given certificates at the end of the program.

All these programs are being held under the direct supervision and guidance of the Principal Secretary School Education Department, Alok Kumar (IFS) who also holds the charge of the Director SCERT.
