District Admin Kup selects candidates for free coaching for competitive exams

KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray today inspected Examination Centres established at GDC Bohipora Kupwara (boys) and women’s Degree College, Salkoot Kupwara to personally monitor the arrangements done by the District Administration for transparent and smooth conduct of the Examination for free coaching of Competitive Examinations in Kupwara district.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, while talking to the media, said that during a recent outreach programme, youth in Handwara and Kupwara have requested Capacity Building of youth, interested to participate in Competitive examinations. He said that District Administration acted seriously on the demand and chalked out a programme for holding free coaching for UPSC-Civil Services Examination and JK-Combined Competitive Examination (CEE) 2023 in the district. In this connection, he said that applications were sought online from the interested candidates, against which about 2000 students applied for the screening test.

He said that as many as 900 students appeared in the objective type screening test (OTST) conducted today at Examination Centers, Government Degree College (GDC), Handwara, GDC Kupwara (boys), and GDC women’s Kupwara.

Deputy Commissioner said that the exam was conducted smoothly in a transparent manner and the eligible candidates would be provided full coaching under LG’s Youth Engagement Programme at Kupwara and Handwara. He said module-wise coaching would be provided in these 2 coaching centers, adding that special faculties would be called from outside UT to yield better results.
