The occasion was graced by General Officer Commanding Counter Insurgency Force Kilo, and the Commander 10 Sector RR.

Speaking on the occasion, GOC Kilo Force said that the Valley is enjoying a period of stability and peace that was not known to it for the past three decades. “Islam has always taught peace and harmony. It is a faith which inspires countless individuals to lead life of honesty, integrity, while bringing hope to many.”

He further said that some vested interests push their agenda, spoil the minds of youth and put them on a wrong path. “The choices that they make at this age do not affect them alone but also affect their family, village, society & country as a whole.”

Quoting the examples of Maqbool Sherwani, Lt Umer Fayaz, L/Nk Nazir Ahmad Wani, the real heroes of Kashmir, the GOC Kilo Force asked them to emulate them.
