Srinagar: Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Wednesday stressed strengthening the ST wing of the party. 

He asked the party’s General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir to talk to the stakeholders to ensure Apni Party’s ST wing is strengthened further.

He was addressing an extraordinary party meeting at its headquarters in Srinagar.

According to a statement issued here, Apni Party’s meeting was organised to assess the performance of the party leaders and senior workers and to gauge the present political scenario in J&K.

Ghulam Hassan Mir while addressing the meeting expressed his satisfaction with the functioning of the party cadre, however, he emphasized strengthening the various wings of the party. “Also, we need to strengthen the Women’s Wing, Youth Wing, and ST Wing of the party. I request all the leaders and senior workers to work hard to ensure the party is further strengthened in terms of its organizational structure and public support,” he said.

He especially stressed boosting the party’s ST wing.

On this occasion, the party’s Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas stressed boosting the public outreach programmes. He said, “It is of utmost importance that common people in every part of J&K are well aware of Apni Party’s agenda and policies. For that, we ought to reach out to the masses and ensure they know about the people-friendly agenda of the party.”

“People must know that Apni Party’s key agenda is to work for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and for the political and economic empowerment of its people,” he added.

Besides, Ghulam Hassan Mir, and Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, the prominent party leaders and senior workers who were present on the occasion include General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, General Secretary Syed Asgar Ali, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, District President Baramulla Yawar Mir, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, Chairman DDC Srinagar Malik Aftab, Provincial President Women’s Wing Dilshada Shaheen, all District Presidents, ST wing leaders and constituency in charges and others.
