Srinagar: A labourer drowned in river Jhelum while extracting sand in Sonwar area of Srinagar on Thursday morning even as rescue operation has been launched.

Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Observer—(KNO) that Mohammad Jaffar Wani (22) resident of Banihal drowned in the river Jhelum while extracting sand.
