Srinagar: The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has produced a charge sheet in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Sub Judge Chadoora against two accused for ‘fraudulently’ mutilating records and encroaching upon some land.

A spokesman of the Wing, in a statement, said that charge sheet was produced against Ghulam Rasool Bhat son in law of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat R/O Repora Namthal Chadoora and Assadullah Baba S/O Ghulam Mohi Ud Din R/O Batpora Wathora Patwan in Case FIR No. 43 of 2015 U/S 420/511, 468,120-B RPC before the Judicial Magistrate Court of Sub Judge Chadoora.

“The instant case had been registered upon the receipt of a written complaint, wherein it was alleged that the accused Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Namthal Chadoora Budgam in connivance with revenue officials had illegally and fraudulently encroached upon the land of the complainant and mutated the said land in his name in the revenue records after producing  fake and forged power of attorney,” the spokesman said.

He said that subsequently, a preliminary verification was conducted which culminated in the registration of Case FIR No. 43/2015 U/S 420/511, 468,120-B RPC of Police Station Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir.

“The investigation established that Assadullah Baba S/O Ghulam Mohi Ud Din R/O Batpora Wathora (Patwari) in league with Ghulam Rasool Bhat has made false revenue extracts i.e Jamabandi in favour of Ghulam Rasool Bhat U/S 4 & 8 of Agrarian Reforms Act, as such, caused loss to state the exchequer. The evidence has substantiated commission of offence U/S 420/511, 468,120-B RPC by the accused persons. Accordingly, charge sheet has been produced,” the spokesman said.
