Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 315 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours which took the cumulative total of infections so far to 4,75,768, officials said Saturday.

They said 295 of these cases were reported from Kashmir valley and 49 from the Jammu division.

Providing district-wise breakup for today’s positive cases, the officials informed that in Kashmir division, Srinagar district reported 78 cases, Baramulla reported 69 cases, Kupwara reported 34 cases, Budgam 33 cases, Pulwama reported 29 cases, Anantnag reported 24 cases, Bandipora reported 17 cases, Ganderbal and Kulgam reported five cases each while Shopian reported one fresh case today.

Similarly in Jammu division, Ramban reported 20 cases, Jammu district reported 19 cases, Kishtwar four, Udhampur and Poonch reported three cases each while no other district reported any fresh case today.

Officials said 596 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals — 541 from Kashmir and 55 from Jammu division – in the last 24 hours after their recuperation.

Currently there are 2,910 active positive cases in J&K – 2,433 in Kashmir and 477 in Jammu division, they said.

So far cumulatively 4,68,079 infected persons have recovered and 4,779 have died – 2,432 in Kashmir and2,347 in Jammu division.
