Dr Samoon inaugurates Electrical & Solar Training Center at ITI Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan

SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, today inaugurated Electrical & Solar Training Center at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan here.

Principal ITI informed the Principal Secretary that the training content for solar energy training include introduction to Off – Grid solar solutions, System components, Safety and Protection, Solar panels, Battery, Solar charge controller, Hybrid Inverters, DC Appliances, AC Appliances, Off – Grid solar PV system & solutions. Besides, the module have solar home systems, Hybrid solar home system, DC Microgrid solutions, Solar water pumping system, AC microgrid solutions, Solar rooftop solutions.

It was informed that the course is a four-week program that includes 140 Hours practical Training, 60 Hours of classroom sessions 25-30 students/batch. 

On the occasion, he inspected the State of Art Solar Training Laboratory and enquired about the in-hand trainings in the latest modules to the students in this trade.

While interacting with the staff and the students, Dr Samoon enquired about the trades being taught there.

He also took a round of the campus and inspected various sections of the ITI and enquired about the facilities being provided to students and staff alike.

He said that the government is committed to handhold ITI trainees so that they would be able to gain the skills which acquaint them with entrepreneurship and business ideas.

Principal ITI Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan, Principals Govt Polytechnic College Srinagar, Govt Women Polytechnic Bemina, Principals of various ITIs and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
