Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Gul said that the party will benefit from their wide-ranging experience in political and social activism. They hoped that the new joining would strengthen the party base in the constituency. The new entrants also wowed to work tirelessly towards making people aware about the vision and mission of the National Conference.

In his address, Gul said that people were looking at NC with lots of hope and great expectations. “It is only NC that can fix the goals for the next decade and work towards achieving them. People have made it a point not to fall into the trap of the ecosystem fostered and nurtured by the ruling party. All they want is to dissuade us from fighting for our identity. But they fail to understand that the expression of the people’s trust in NC leadership is way too deep-rooted and historic to be affected by them,” Gul said.

“Our vision and mission has and will remain synonymous with the wishes and aspirations of our people. Our fight is just, constitutional and peaceful. We are fighting for the restoration of people’s dignity, their democratic rights and the protection of their cultural uniqueness,” he said.

Later on, Gul addressed a workers gathering at Pamposh Colony, Palpura, where he exhorted the workers to work in tandem towards making the party stronger at the grassroots level.
