Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 152 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the cumulative infection tally in the union territory to 4,57,184, officials said here.
While 85 cases were reported from the Jammu division, 67 cases were reported from the Kashmir Valley, they said.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, officials informed that Jammu district reported 64 cases, Srinagar reported 57 cases, Udhampur reported 11 cases, Poonch, Pulwama and Anantnag reported two cases each, Baramulla reported five cases, Kathua reported four cases, Samba reported three cases, and Doda and Budgam reported one case each.
After one death due to the disease in the last 24 hours in Jammu division, the total fatalities have increased to 4,759, they said.
Moreover, 55 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from various hospitals after their recuperation in the last 24 hours, including 38 from Jammu division and 17 from Kashmir division, they said.
The officials said there were 51 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (Covid-19), currently there are 1,140 active positive cases in J&K, including 645 in Jammu division and 495 in Kashmir. So far 4,51,285 patients have recovered and 4,759 have died – 2,425 in Kashmir and 2,334 in Jammu division.
