J&K reports 84 new Covid cases, one death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 84 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the total number of positive cases to 455475, officials said.

They said that one more death has been reported from Jammu division taking the toll of infection related deaths to 4757 in the Union Territory.

The officials said that 64 fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and 20 from Kashmir division.

Moreover, they said, 67 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 47 from Jammu division and 20 from Kashmir division.

They further said that at present there are 494 active positive cases in the UT.

Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Jammu district reported 45 cases; Srinagar 18; Udhampur 05; Kathua 10; Samba 03 and; Ramban, Baramulla and Kulgam reported 01 case each.

They said that 12,355 doses of Covid vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 23348206.
