DG IMPARD chairs valedictory session of 40 days SACTC

SRINAGAR: Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat today chaired the Valedictory session of 40 days Secretariat Assistants Capsule Training Course (SACTC) for the officials of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir at main campus here.

The capsule course was sponsored by the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir. The officials were trained in detail on critical areas of administration and administrative skills. The main thematic areas of training programme included Jammu and Kashmir Classification, Control and Appeal Rules, 1956; The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations; General Financial Rules, 2017; e-office; Drafting skills; The Municipal Act and all other administrative rules and regulations. The officials were trained by the learned and specialized experts on the subjects including senior faculty members of the Institute.

On the occasion, DG IMPARD highlighted the role of Urban Local Bodies in the development of Urban Spaces in Kashmir in particular and J&K in general. He spoke about the of-late challenges due to rapid urbanization, industrialization and modernization which have increased the expectations of urban community.

Director Training, IMPA Main Campus, Srinagar, Dr Jahan Ara on the occasion spoke about the importance of such training courses wherein capacities of government functionaries are developed to meet the service delivery challenges on the ground.

Sr Faculty IMPA, Srinagar, Nighat Amin also spoke on the occasion and shared her vast experience of importance of training in service career of officials at the cutting edge level.
