Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 67 fresh COVID-19 cases that pushed its cumulative infection tally to 4,54,865, officials here said.

Of the fresh cases, 47 were reported from the Jammu division of the union territory and 20 from the Kashmir Valley, they said.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases, they informed that Jammu district reported 40 cases, Srinagar reported 16 cases, Baramulla reported four cases, Kathua reported one case, Udhampur, Kishtwar and Poonch reported two cases each, while no other district across the Union Territory reported any fresh case.

Moreover, 29 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 19 from Jammu division and 10 from Kashmir in the last 24 hours, they said.

The death toll due to COVID-19 remained unchanged at 4,756, they added. So far 2,425  people in Kashmir have succumbed to the disease while the death toll in Jammu region stands at 2,331.

Currently there are 359 active cases in the UT, including 240 in Jammu division and 119 in Kashmir.

So far, cumulatively 4,49,750 people have recovered from the viral disease, the officials said.
