SRINAGAR: Financial Commissioner Revenue, Shaleen Kabra today made a pilot launch of J&K Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS) for Revenue Courts of J&K for public.

With the launch, the commitment of government towards establishing an efficient, accountable, public-oriented and transparent justice delivery system has been put in place in consonance with the Lieutenant Governor’s endeavor of providing effective and good governance at people’s door steps.

Pertinently, RCCMS is a official web-enabled application for effective and timely processing of Court Cases filed before the Revenue Courts at all levels in the UT.

The system would facilitate filing of new Court cases especially land-related cases and recording of all the proceedings, besides maintenance of history and availability of details of each and every case in the public domain.

The event would be remembered as path-breaking step in e-governance towards smooth delivery of public service.

Citizens especially of far-flung areas can now have easy access to the land-related cases pending in different Revenue Courts and can fetch all the details regarding the status of any relevant case.

It is worthwhile to mention that the initiative is one of its kind adopted by a few States/UTs of the country.

By use of this application general Public, Litigants and Advocates shall have a direct online access to 878 Revenue Courts of the UT and as on date details/status of 17,638 cases pending before various Revenue Courts available on it.

Besides, the legacy data (already decided cases) is also being made available/accessible to Public through the instant application. A capacity-building programme of Revenue Officers and Judicial Assistants has been already conducted wherein hands-on training has been imparted to them this initiative shall go a long way in smooth functioning of Revenue Courts upto the Public satisfaction.

During the pilot launch of this IT application virtually besides, Financial Commissioner Revenue, Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Commissioner, Survey and Land Records, J&K and all Deputy Commissioners were present.
