JKPSI aspirants demand CBI inquiry in recruitment process

Jammu: Reiterating their demand to hold a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the recently declared results of written examination held for the posts of  Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspectors (JKPSI), dozens of aspirants again held a massive protest here today near Press Club of Jammu.

The aspirants alleged that it seems the inquiry committee constituted by the government is not moving in the right direction to expose the scamsters.

One of the aspirants, Binkal, said that as per media reports it is a multi-crore scam involving some government officials.

“The scam is believed to be perpetrated by an inter-state racket hence needs to be handed over to CBI so that all those involved in this multi-crore scam are booked,” he said.

Another aspirant claimed that the third party involved by JKSSB for the paper setting and conducting written exam should also be investigated as there are reports that something fishy has been done with the tendering process. He said that every suspect should be thoroughly investigated, adding, their call records, locations, whatsapp calls and details should be verified.

Aspirants further said that the inquiry committee till now has not approached them and asked for any documentary proof from them.

Aspirants said they want to submit the relevant data and evidence which can help in the investigation.

They said, it seems that as the days are passing the people involved in scams are given due time to manage things.

Aspirants warned the inquiry committee and UT administration that if anyhow they will try to divert, delay or dismiss the probe, aspirants will be forced to opt for a mass agitation.

They demanded that a formal FIR should be registered in this matter and the case should be handed over to the CBI so that all those including alleged government officials involved in this scam are investigated.
