SRINAGAR: Commissioner Secretary Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad today inaugurated Garden Equipments Modernization in presence of Director Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather.
While inaugurating the fleet of Ride-on Mowers, Commissioner Secretary said that the focus of the department is for total modernization of the garden equipment. He said that the introduction of the ride-on mowers is a significant step towards modernization of work efficiency and effectiveness of garden operations. He said that this will substantially fill the labour gap, reduce time and money and will in turn enhance the gardening operations.
Commissioner Secretary further said that the department is developing new parks in order to cope with the huge rush of tourists visiting the Valley while at the same time adding new facilities for making the stay of tourists memorable.
Director Floriculture while briefing the Secretary said that the ride-on mowers was a long-felt need and will significantly increase work efficiency.
He also informed that the department will be introducing another fleet of mowers in near future.
