DC Srinagar rolls out activities for Har Ghar Tiranga Programme

SRINAGAR: In connection with celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga/Har Ghar Jhanda under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of Officers of the line Departments here at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, SP Headquarter, Programme Officer, ICDS, Joint Director Planning, ACR, SDM East, SDM West, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, all Tehsildars, All Block Development Officers, District Informatics Officer and other concerned were present in the meeting.

The DC said the programme, which is being held from August 9 to August 16, 2022, is aimed at invoking a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.

The DC asked the Officers to make necessary preparations to make the programme successful.

On the occasion, the DC directed for setting up of Tiranga Centre for collection and stocking of the National flags for proper distribution among all the participant departments/stakeholders. The premises for establishing Tiranga Centre has been identified at Amar Niwas Complex, Tankipora, DC office.

The DC directed the officers to submit Department wise activity plan by 20th June,2022 and make all necessary preparations well in advance.

The DC asked the officers of Rural Development Department to ensure active participation of PRIs in the programme at panchayat levels. While other officers were also directed to take all required measures for success of the programme.
