Srinagar: CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed serious concern over the alleged irregularities in the recently declared result for the posts of Sub-Inspector with the department of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

In a statement issued here, Tarigami said: “The result, as scores of aspirants alleged, reeks of gross irregularities. It seems that the results have been skewed in favour of influential candidates with scant regard for merit.”

“The allegations have been levelled by the aspirants at a time when the unemployment graph in Jammu and Kashmir has shot up significantly. The grueling wait for the jobs have caused much frustration among the educated youth in the region,” he said.

“The government must order a credible probe into the alleged irregularities forthwith and a selection list must be put on hold to restore the trust of job aspirants in the recruitment agency,” he added.
