GANDERBAL: The Director Rural Sanitation, Charan Deep Singh today undertook a visit to Baltal and inspected the sanitation measures being carried along the National highway and Baltal here.

On the occasion, the Director also inspected the progress on various sanitation works that are being executed to make this years Yatra clean and pollution-free.

The Director had a long discussion with District Panchayat Officer Ganderbal, Bilqees Wani and various Block Development Officers of district Ganderbal.

The Director laid stress on setting up structures for scientific management of garbage being generated in rural areas especially in panchayats falling along the National Highway.

Later, the Director visited Baltal Base Camp where the Rural Development department is providing 21 stationary and 700 movable toilets for Shri Amarnath Ji yatra.

The Director directed the DPO to chalk out the plan for placing movable toilet at appropriate locations as per need.
