Srinagar: “Jammu and Kashmir is all set to bring in incredible transformation in its healthcare profile digital revolution and innovations”, declared the speakers during mind storming deliberations held at ‘Sustainable Healthcare Conclave’ organized by APAC News Network on Thursday here.

The event was supported by Schneider Electric as part of their flagship ‘Green Yodha’ campaign focusing on sustainability.

Speaking in the inaugural session as a guest of honor, Mission Director, National Health Mission and Chief Executive Officer, J&K State Health Agency, Yasin Mohammad Choudhary, said: “Digital health is the need of the hour. We are focusing on eHealth, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to transform healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Yasin gave a detailed roadmap of healthcare transformation in his presentation.

Chief Guest of the event, Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta, Director of AIIMS Jammu stated that ‘we are focusing on building a holistic infrastructure in AIIMS Jammu in which digital innovation is going to play a major role.’ The inaugural session also saw the presence of Professor Parvaiz Ahmed Koul, Director & EOSG of the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences who talked about the importance of sustainable digital healthcare innovation practices.

Appreciating the work done by the J&K Health Department, Harmeek Singh, Director, Schneider Electric also stated that sustainability is not only an environmental, social, and governance goal; it is also a way to increase long-term economic growth. Making environmentally conscious decisions in healthcare advancements will help the industry in this direction to establish a sustainable and resilient healthcare system. 

The inaugural session was followed by two-panel discussions on the role of digital, resilient & sustainable infrastructure. The role of Digital Infrastructure in Reshaping Health Innovation panel discussion was moderated by Yasin Mohammad Choudhary, Mission Director, NHM and CEO, State Health Agency of Jammu & Kashmir. Officials of NHM and NIPI were also part of the panel discussion. Various aspects of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Mother & Child Tracking System, Vaccination through CoVin and other programs and initiatives were discussed in the discussion.

Amit Mishra, Segment Head-Healthcare Greater India of Schneider Electric also spoke about various offerings for building sustainable healthcare infrastructure such as IoT-based solutions and how to manage security, fire & safety, and cyber security issues through technology.
