Budgam: Police on Monday arrested two persons for beating youth to death in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A senior police officer told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the two persons were held in connection with the death of a person identified as Fayaz Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Rashid Najar resident of Gurwaith Khansaib.

He identified the arrested duo as Tahir Bashir Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan and Hilal Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Ganie Lone residents of Kachwari Khansaib.
He said that the deceased was hit on his head by the accused persons at Kachwari.

Accordingly, he was taken to SKIMS in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

Case FIR number 60/2022 was registered at Police Station Khansahib under section 302 IPC and investigation set into motion—(KNO)
