Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The LG, in his message, said that the festival of Eid highlights the joy of sharing. Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the holy month of Ramzan and inspires all to work towards building a compassionate, harmonious, peaceful and prosperous society, he added.

“May this auspicious day strengthen mutual goodwill and instill in us a sense of unity and pride in the syncretic culture of the UT of J&K,” the LG said.

Sinha also greeted the people on the eve of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti.

In a message, the LG said “Bhagwan Parshuram is the embodiment of valour, tenacity, serenity, strength and righteousness. On this auspicious occasion, let us all strengthen our resolve to follow the ideals and timeless teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram.”

The LG also extended his greetings to the people on the eve of Akshaya Tritiya.

“May these auspicious occasions bring peace, prosperity, happiness and joy for all,” prayed the LG.

Meanwhile, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar too has extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his greeting message, the Advisor expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would strengthen faith and usher lasting peace, cohesion and prosperity across the Union Territory of Jammu and.

Advisor Bhatnagar further reminded the people that on this joyous occasion we should remember the poor and needy people and make them part of our happiness.

Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta too extended greetings to people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, wishing them well-being and prosperity.

Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole and Inspector General of Police (K), Vijay Kumar too have greeted people on Eid wishing peace and prosperity to the UT.

Meanwhile, Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his message, Lone hoped that Eid ul Fitr will bring peace and prosperity and strengthen unity among the people of J&K. He urged charitable organizations and common masses to extend a helping hand to the needy and make them part of the happiness.

“We as a society are duty-bound to help each other amidst the trying circumstances and ensure that those who are less fortunate, destitute, and needy get our helping hand on this auspicious day”, he added.
