Srinagar: The body of a missing teenage girl was recovered from river Jhelum at Chreshbal area of Mujgund on Wednesday morning.
Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that the body of a 17-years-old girl (name withheld) from Rainawari area of Srinagar was fished out from the river today.
The girl had allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the River Jehlum from Cement bridge Qamarwari on March 23, even as her family had also lodged a missing report about her on the same day at Police Station Rainawari.
The body was taken to a nearby hospital for legal medico-formalities. (KNO)
