Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Youth National Conference Provincial President, Kashmir Salman Ali Sagar on Wednesday said that the incumbent admin has failed to reap the benefits of the demographic dividend of Jammu and Kashmir, saying the frustration in educated and skilled youth of JK as a result of multitude of problems is increasing day by day.

This he, according to the NC spokesperson, said while addressing a meeting of district youth functionaries of Srinagar at Nawa e Subha. “The most impounding problem our youth is facing at present is frustration. This monster is eating up our youth slowly and gradually. Our brothers and sisters are jobless. Every year thousands get added to this list of unemployed. The frustration as a result of multitude of problems is increasing day by day. The incumbent administration has only served assurances to our youth instead of jobs and have failed to provide any viable solutions,” he said.

Earlier Salman Ali Sagar led a delegation of YNC functionaries called on JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah and raised issues concerning the youth. Omar was all ears to the individual views of the YNC functionaries. In addition to the matters concerning the YNC, issues like widespread unemployment also dominated  the interaction. Exhorting the YNC functionaries, Omar asked them to strengthen their ranks and focus on reaching out to youth. He asked the YNC functionaries to lend shoulder to the worries of youth by highlighting their problems at every appropriate forum. Among others the meet was attended by the party’s district YNC functionaries, and other provincial office bearers.

Meanwhile, Provincial Vice President Ahsan Pardesi also addressed the party  functionaries in a separate meeting at the party headquarters. Provincial President Women’s Wing Er. Sabiya Qadri was also present on the occasion.
