16 J&K districts report no fresh Covid case

Srinagar: With a visible decrease in Covid-19 cases, Jammu and Kashmir reported only six fresh cases with 16 districts of the Union Territory reporting no freah case.

Officials said that Srinagar district reported 02 fresh cases while as Kupwara and Kulgam reported 01 case each. Two more fresh cases were reported from Jammu district, they said.

The officials said that 16 districts – Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam, Pulwama, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Udhampur, Rajouri, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Samba, Doda, Reasi and Ramban reported no fresh case on Sunday.

With fresh six cases the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 453658 out of which only 134 are active positive cases, officials said

The officials said that while the cases of Mucormycosis remain 51 across J&K, 6,144 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,20,69,336.

They said that Covid-19 has claimed 4750 lives in the UT – 2327 in Jammu division and 2423 in Kashmir division.
