Bijbehera: Body of a 25-year-old man has been fished out from river Jhelum at Zirpora area of Bijbehera in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, officials said.

Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that body of the man identified as Showkat Ahmad Gorsi son of Lal Din from Ahlan Gadool, Anantnag was spotted by locals who later on informed the police.

Later a police party reached the spot and recovered from river Jehlum at Zirpora, they said.

“Subsequently, a case under 174 CrPc has been registered and further investigations were taken up,” the police official said—(KNO)
