Srinagar: An encounter broke out between forces and militants in Chewakalan village in Zadoora of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told the news agency KNO that following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a Cordon and Search operation (CASO) was launched this evening.
During the searches, the hiding militants fired upon the security forces, which was retaliated, thus leading to an encounter, they said.
