MD J&K Bank inaugurates e-ticketing facility for JKCCC

Srinagar: J&K Bank MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash today inaugurated the e-ticketing facility jointly with Managing Director JK Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC), Mohammad Akbar Wani at the Gondola site in Gulmarg – the most popular destination for tourists and skiing lovers of the world.

Both the MDs booked their first tickets online from the J&K Bank-facilitated portal of JKCCC at the inaugural function that was attended by Bank’s Executive President Sunil Gupta, President Ashutosh Sareen, Zonal Head North Arshid Hussain, Manager Gulmarg Gondola Project Suhail Rashid, IT Incharge JK Cable Car Corporation Syed Jameel Kaiser besides officials from PayU.

Speaking on the occasion, MD & CEO said, “From digitalization of services we are moving fast towards a future which will be completely digital and we believe, quality of services and solutions would be the key determinants of success in the world of banking and finance that we all see getting shaped up today. And that is where our major strategic focus will be in times to come.”

“In such a context, the e-ticketing platform for JK Cable Car Corporation, I believe, will go a long way in providing convenience to the visitors across the globe who can now book tickets for the ride in advance. And we will keep improving this platform as this is just the beginning of a new chapter of our growing collaboration with the stakeholders of J&K’s tourist economy,” he added.

Complimenting J&K Bank for providing such a payment platform at such a short notice, MD JKCCC Mohammad Akbar said, “We were in search of a good payment solutions and we received some proposals from many private banks but those didn’t meet our requirements sufficiently. Then we approached J&K bank and the support we got from the Bank has really won our hearts.”

He further added, “In terms of providing easy and hassle-free service to people, it’s a milestone achieved both for the Bank and the JK Cable Car Corporation. Let’s further strengthen this relationship in the coming times.”

Notably, on visiting the portal one can book the ticket from anywhere on the globe using debit/credit card or e-banking generating a QR code that can be kept in one’s phone. Once at the Gondola site, one only needs to get the QR Code scanned and enjoy the hassle-free and refreshing cable ride.
