Director Agri discusses strategies for implementation of agriculture export policy

SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir (Controller Insecticides) Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today held an interactive meeting with Insecticide, Pesticide, Seed and Fertilizer dealers of district Baramulla at Dak Banglow Baramulla.

Director was apprised by the concerned officers about the overall scenario including stock and supply position of different inputs like insecticides, pesticides fertilizers etc in the district.

Addressing the meeting Director asked the stakeholders to ensure that only the quality and genuine inputs of insecticides, pesticides and fertilizers is made available to the farming community.

He said that the quality of an input plays a vital role in the overall success of an agriculture enterprise for a farmer & entrepreneur. Chowdhary assured participants of every possible support to curb the menace of unregistered insecticides & pesticides in the region.

Dir said that a coordinated approach among the stakeholders is must for upholding the interests of the farming community of the region.

Deputy Director Law Enforcement, Kashmir, Javed Iqbal Samoon, Deputy Director Agriculture, Central, Kashmir Zaffer Ahmad Hakeem, Chief Agriculture Office Baramulla Yadwinder Singh, Plant Protection Officer Kashmir, Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Feroz Ahmad Shapoo, President Fruit Growers Association Fayaz Ahmad, President Pesticide Association, North Bashir Ahmad and other company representatives were present in the meeting.
