National Conference calls for end to LoC skirmishes

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of Parliament from Baramulla Muhammad Akbar Lone on Friday said life is yet to get back on track in different areas of entire North Kashmir districts in wake of the failure of the administration to restore surface connectivity following recent heavy snowfall.

Expressing dismay over the “lackluster attitude” of the administration in restoring the road connectivity and other public utility services in Tangdar, Machil, Kanzalwun, Dawar and other upper reaches of entire north Kashmir belt, Lone said, “Even days after that region had received snowfall, the troubles of the people haven’t reduced. Various roads are yet to be cleared of the piled up snow. Entire hamlets are reeling under darkness. The elderly, children, students and expecting women and patients have taken a direct brunt. People are forced to carry the sick on cots.”
