Div Com visits Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education Bijbehara

Anantnag: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K. Pole today visited Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education (ZAIIE) Bijbehara and held interaction with the students and staff of the school.

The institute running under the aegis of Humanity Welfare Organisation Helpline Bijbehara has been established by Javed Ahmad Tak who was recently awarded Padma Shri by the President of India.

Around 120 specially abled children from South Kashmir are enrolled in the school. Pole appreciated the role of teachers and the founder of the school.

He gave instructions to district administration to extend every sort of help to the institution. A patch of land that will be equipped with special sports equipment for specially abled children was also identified.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and Tehsildar Bijbehara informed the Div Com that all schools have reopened in the district with much fervor. They said that the School Education department has made appropriate arrangements to ensure that social distancing and COVID appropriate behavior is followed in letter and spirit in all educational institutions.

The Div Com visited DC Office Anantnag and took stock of the new office building under construction. He directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the completion of the new building.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today visited Budgam wherein he took on spot review of pace and progress of Ring Road project in the district.

He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budagm, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, Collector Land Acquisition Budgam, official of Irrigation, PHE Deptt, Representatives of NHAI and Executing agencies.

During the visit, the Div. Com. instructed all concerned to enhance the manpower and expedite the work process to ensure timely completion of all works and projects.

He further directed the concerned to ensure shifting of public utilities like Telecom and Transmission towers besides timely construction of bridges where work is going on at present.

It is pertinent to mention here that Div Com took on spot inspection of Ring road Project starting from Galander Pampore upto Village Ichigam at Budgam.
