Srinagar: Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh Wednesday ordered constitution of teams of well-trained officers for handling cyber-crime investigation in Jammu and Kashmir

In this regard, a circular was issued and forwarded to the special DGP Crime, J&K, ADGP, Jammu Zone and IGP Kashmir.

The circular asks these officers to form teams of well-trained officers to handle cyber-crime investigations in their each unit or wing.

The circular also stresses for observing ‘cyber awareness day” on the first Wednesday of every month to create awareness on cyber related frauds in all vernacular languages.

“The awareness may include Phishing simulations, Quiz Contacts, lectures, Audio-Visuals presentation on “Best Practices”, Social Media Hygiene, Short films, Poster/leaflet etc, in local languages, Intelligence operations “whole of nation” in order to educate public and private sector and increase cyber resilience of the national event,” reads the circular.
