Delegations meet Dr Farooq, discuss organizational affairs

JAMMU: Exhorting cadre to gear up for the big challenge faced to Jammu and Kashmir and to work for further strengthening the National Conference at every level, President Dr Farooq Abdullah today said the party is committed to assuage the urges and aspirations of every segment of the society in all the regions and sub-regions.

Interacting with various delegations and welcoming new entrants into the party at a brief function here, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that the National Conference is deeply rooted in every nook and corner, and the cadre must reach out to the people and help them seek redressal to their problems.

Welcoming the new entrants, Dr Farooq Abdullah said the National Conference is a mass movement which has been devoted to the service of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for decades. He said the party is a natural destination for all those public spirited political workers who want to steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, progress and development.

Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy Vice President, Deepinder Kour Ex-MLC, Swaran Lata Ex-MLA, Ajaz Jan Provincial President YNC, Pyare Lal, Pardeep Bali, Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo District President Kishtwar, Sajjad Shaheen, District President Ramban were also present on the occasion and discussed the organizational issues.

The delegations which called on Dr Farooq Abdullah included Sunil Verma District President Udhampur along with other office bearers, Naresh Bittu District President Jammu Rural B along with office bearers, Sudagar Chand Gupta District President Samba along with Block Presidents and Youth leaders headed by S. Sandeep Singh Central Zone President YNC, S. Tejinder Singh District President Jammu YNC. The delegations discussed the organizational affairs with the party president.

Those who joined the National Conference included: Ajay Sharma Sarpanch, Rajneesh Sharma Panch, Kuldeep Kumar Naib Sarpanch and  Mohd Iqbal  from Udhampur.

Those who were present on this occasion included : Arif Mir, Ashiq Ali, Inayatullah District President OBC Cell Udhampur, Ch. Mohd Gani District President ST Cell, Block President Ashok Mehra, Pavitra Singh, Channaram Sethi and others.
