Tangmarg: The traders and the general public in Tangmarg staged a silent protest on Thursday, demanding that a second fire engine be made available at the fire station Tangmarg,

The protestors said that there have been several fire incidents in Tangmarg since last year which have damaged property worth crores. “There is only one vehicle at the Tangmarg fire station which proves inadequate in the face of the horrific fire incidents. Ten years ago, there were two fire engines at the station but the number was reduced to one for unknown reasons,” they said.
