It also advised commuters not to travel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW without confirming the status of the road from TCU Jammu/Ramban/Srinagar.

The traffic department said LMVS will have to cross Nagrota (Jammu) from 08:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs, Jakheni (Udhampur) from 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs and from Navyug Tunnel (Qazigund side) 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs.

“No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing,” it said.

“Subject to fair weather and better road condition, HMVS shall be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar after assessing the traffic situation on NHW. TCU Udhampur shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVS,” it added.

The advisory asked security forces not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.

“They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of highway,” reads the advisory.

It said, Mughal Road, Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri Road and Kishtwar-Sinthan Road were closed for vehicular movement in view of snow accumulation.
