While speaking at the meeting, he said: “Apni Party has raised its voice seeking restoration of democratic institutions in J&K as there is growing feeling of alienation among the people in absence of an elected Government.”

He said that the people are coming in support of the Apni Party from every part of J&K.

“Our demand for restoration of democratic institutions is gathering support from the ground as people feel disempowered with the present form of Govt and hence, they seek elections for assembly constituencies,” he added.

He said that the Apni Party believes in the revival of democracy for which people are with the Party.

“The people from far flung areas of J&K are joining the Party because of our developmental agenda and opposition to the divisive agenda,” he said.

He appealed to the Party leaders to work among the people and aware them about the developmental policies and programmes of the Party.

“We believe that the unemployed should get employment and the two regions should be treated equally with regard to development, funds distribution and employment,” he said in his address while welcoming the people who joined the Apni Party.
