15th Scientific Advisory Committee meeting of KVK held at Bandipora

BANDIPORA: The Vice Chancellor Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Nazir Ahmad Ganai on Friday chaired 15th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Patushai Bandipora.

Director Extension SKUAST-K, Prof Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Director Research, SKUAST-K Prof.  Sarfaraz Ahmad Wani, Comptroller SKUAST-K Bashir Ahmad Haji, Scientist Agriculture Extension KVK Bandipora Dr Hilal Ahmad Malik attended the meeting  besides Deputy Director Sheep Husbandry, Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora, Chief Horticulture Officer Bandipora, Officers of Floriculture, Fisheries, Sericulture, Information  also attended the meeting.

Dr. Tariq Sultan, Scientist KVK Bandipora presented a powerpoint presentation of activities for the year 2020-21.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor stressed upon the need to develop Farmer Producer Organizations in Dairy, Post-harvest processing of fruits and vegetables besides working on technologies for enhancing income of farmers.

He appreciated the role of Kendra in dissemination of technologies and skill development of rural youth.  Feedback was received from the officers of the line department.

Progressive farmers also attended the meeting and shared their experiences.
