JKSSB Chairman compliments district admins, officers for successful conduct of CBT Exam

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) Chairman, Khalid Jehangir has thanked the district administrations and officers for successful conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT) which culminated today.

The test was being conducted for 30 posts of Assistant Compiler/ Care Taker at 15 venues in Srinagar, Budgam & Baramulla districts of Kashmir division from 22nd December, 2021 to 13th January, 2022. Similarly, it was conducted at 7 venues in Jammu and Kathua districts of Jammu division from 22nd December to 26th December, 2021.

A total of 69652 candidates were scheduled to take part in CBT, out of which 32497 candidates appeared at their alloted centres.

The Board had made adequate security arrangements at examination centres with concerned District Magistrates who had issued Prohibitory Orders under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) for smooth conduct of this examination.

The Board had also put in a multi layered structure for supervision with one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate besides invigilatory staff for each Examination Centre. In addition to ensure transparency and fairness during the examination process, the CBT was conducted under CCTV surveillance.

The JKSSB had also deployed Liaison Officers/District Observer(s) for each venue/location in order to oversee the arrangements, coordination with various stakeholders and real-time redressal of issues, if any, at examination venues.

Besides, Additional District Development Commissioners of the centre districts were appointed as General Observers by the General Administration Department and the J&K Police had also deployed security personnel for frisking and maintenance of law and order at each venue/location.

The JKSSB Chairman thanked all role partners for their enormous cooperation especially Deputy Commissioners, Director Health Services Kashmir/Jammu, Senior Superintendents of Police, Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Jammu & Kathua and SSP Security Kashmir/Jammu, along-with their teams for extending full cooperation to the JKSSB in the smooth and transparent conduct of this exercise. He also complimented Officers/ Officials of JKSSB associated with the conduct of CBT for their valuable role in the smooth conduct of examination.
