Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 706 Covid positive cases on Monday taking the toll of total positive cases to 345358, while as four infection related deaths too were reported.

Officials said that 361 fresh cases were reported from Kashmir and 345 from Jammu division.

They said that three Covid deaths were reported from Jammu and one from Kashmir division.

Jammu district once again had the maximum positive cases (233), followed by Srinagar district with 172 cases.

The UT has been witnessing an alarming surge in positive cases and the number of such cases has increased more than six times in just ten days.

Officials said that out of 345358 positive cases, 4024 are Active Positive (2283 in Jammu division and 1741 in Kashmir division), 336790 have recovered and 4544 have died (2209 in Jammu division and 2335 in Kashmir division).

Baramulla district reported 64 cases, Budgam 45, Pulwama 14, Kupwara 18, Anantnag 14, Bandipora 11, Ganderbal 04, Kulgam reported 19 cases while as Shopian reported no fresh case, officials said.

They said that Reasi reported 26 cases, Udhampur 18, Rajouri 04, Doda 09, Kathua 18, Samba 08, Poonch 16, Kishtwar reported 12 cases while as Ramban reported 01 fresh case.

On COVID vaccination, the officials said, 92,518 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,93,94,232.
