Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Monday expressed anguish over the massive incident of fire at Naibasti Anantnag, where several houses were completely gutted in a devastating fire on Sunday.
In a joint statement, party’s South Zone President Dr Bashir Ahmed Veeri and District President Altaf Ahmed Wani expressed deep anguish over the incident of conflagration and expressed sympathies with the affected families.
Asking government to reach out the affected with relief and rehabilitation, the party functionaries impressed upon the district and divisional administration to assess the losses at an earliest so that the quantum of losses injured by the affected is worked out and compensated forthwith.
