Baramulla: An Improvised Explosive Device was detected and destroyed in Rafiabad village of Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon, official said here.
Quoting an official news agency KNS reported that security forces found a suspicious bag in Rafiabad village along Baramulla-Handwara road, which later turned out to be an IED.
He said that soon after detection of the IED, traffic movement along the road was halted and bomb disposal squad was called in which destroyed the IED without causing any harm.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation initiated.
