Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 178 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which took the total number of positive cases detected so far in the UT to 3,41,802.

Of the fresh cases, officials said 108 were reported from Kashmir and 70 from the Jammu division, while as 109 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 90 from Kashmir and 19 from Jammu division.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today – so far the total number of confirmed cases recorded across J&K remains 51.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 96,789 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,87,72,154.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,41,802 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 1,498 active positive cases across the J&K including 939 in Kashmir and 559 in Jammu division, while as 3,35,774 persons have recovered and 4,530 have died – 2,331 in Kashmir and 2,199 in Jammu division.
